ITS - Research Services hosts an one-day intensive workshop on Shared Memory Programming Using OpenMP. This workshop will be led by experts from the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and will take place in a training room equipped with two-way video communication between participants and the lecturer.

Please note that all participants must be present at the hosting location, as there will be no option for individual remote participation via video call (e.g., Zoom). ITS-RS staff will assist participants with any technical issues and exercises throughout the workshop.

This workshop will cover introductory to advanced levels of code parallelization using OpenMP, offering valuable insights into high-performance computing and enhancing computational research projects.

For hands-on exercises, all participants must have an ACCESS ID and will receive temporary access to the supercomputing facility at PSC, Bridges-2. If you do not have an ACCESS account, please create one before registration. (see the registration page for details).

Prior coding and Linux experiences are helpful but not critical to attend this workshop. Please bring your laptop and charging cable to stay connected during the workshop.
