With approximately 275 postdoctoral scholars and fellows, the UIPDA advocates for constructive changes in the professional and administrative policies that affect the lives of postdocs and their dependents. Our postdocs come a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Below are resources to help our sub-communities navigate their experience as a UI postdoc.

The UIPDA leadership partners and regularly meets with several departments on campus to support and improve your postdoctoral experience. We also coordinate with leadership Shared Governance and trainee organizations to combine efforts on issues related to our training experiences and our temporary employee status. International Postdocs are an important part of our community. Over 50% of all postdoctoral fellows and scholars are international, and the UIPDA strives to be an active part of your journey at the University of Iowa.
