Reaction Theory

Brady Martin, PhD.

Scattering theory plays a fundamental role in understanding the reaction mechanisms in nuclear reactions. In this talk, I will provide an introduction to both non-relativistic single-channel scattering theory and multichannel scattering theory. I will also provide an overview on how to perform calculations in nuclear reaction theory using partition combinatorics associated with the partition lattice, and this will include an example involving the two-neutron halo nucleus helium-6.
