Beverly Brandau Fall Break Meal

Beverly Brandau Fall Break Meal promotional image

Community members and University of Iowa (UI) international students and scholars staying on campus during the fall break are invited to join International Programs for a celebration of community and a traditional holiday meal. The meal will feature turkey, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, dinner rolls, and pies. Vegetarian options will be available.

Pre-registering for one of the first three time slots below will guarantee attendees a meal at the event. Meals are limited during each time slot, so we request you make a reservation only if you plan to attend, otherwise you will prevent others from participating.

New this year, we will welcome walk-ins during the final 30 minutes of the event. Pre-registration is not required for the walk-in time slot.

  • 11 - 11:30 a.m. - dine-in only (pre-registration required)

  • 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. - dine-in only (pre-registration required)

  • 12 - 12:30 p.m. - dine-in and grab-and-go available (pre-registration required)

  • 12:30 - 1 p.m. - walk-ins welcome

Community Member Registration

Sponsored by International Programs, the Office of the Dean of Students, the University of Iowa Center for Advancement, and the UI Graduate College, this event is also made possible, in part, due to the generosity of UI alumna Beverly Brandau (BA ‘48), whose endowment seeks to support programs that directly facilitate interactions between international students and the community.

Life in Iowa is a program designed to assist international students in adjusting to life and the academic system here at the University of Iowa. It includes cultural events and academic sessions, as well as career series.
